Since the 40th Reunion we’ve marked significant milestones: Reese retired in 2013; both kids graduated from college and are living in Chicago; in June, Mary Dallas, who is a supervisor in an international PR agency, married her longtime boyfriend , Cooper Runzel, in a lovely garden wedding in Denver; Wood moved to Chicago from Missoula, MT in September to pursue his love of fine dining and landed his dream job as a cook at Boka, a Michelin rated, top ten restaurant. They are both thriving and it’s fun to have them both in the same city.

Retirement suits us. We are avid gardeners, involved in the life of our church, love to entertain and travel. We particularly like inn to inn treks, and in the past four years have trekked 50 to 70 miles in Northern CA, Ireland and Vancouver Island, Canada. We plan to hike a portion of the Camino de Santiago in Portugal this fall. We love living in Denver and appreciate all it has to offer: the climate, mountains, cultural offerings, a diverse, well educated, inclusive population (it seems Millennials are taking over!) universities, a vibrant down town, great restaurants, good friends and neighbors. We’ve no plans to go anywhere else, although, like many of you I suppose, we do talk about downsizing one day. We will celebrate our 30th anniversary this year. I’m looking forward to seeing all of you in April!
