Danny Keith Stivers, 52, of Graham died Sunday, January 26, 2003 in the Graham Regional Hospital. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the First United Methodsit Church with Reverend David Mosser, pastor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mr. Stivers was born September 28, 1950 in Olney, Illinois to Wilma (McWilliams) Stivers and the late Jack Stivers. The family moved to Abilene, Texas in May of that year. He graduated from Cooper High School and from Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, in 1976, with a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Upon graduation from college, he went to work for Tooke Engineering in Utah. Later, in 1980, Mr. Stivers formed Stivers Consulting Inc., a geological consulting and hydrocarbon mud- logging service, in Graham and was President of said company at the time of his death.

Mr. Stivers was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Association of Petroleum Geologist (25-year member), American Association of Petroleum Landmen, and Texas Alliance Energy Producers.

Survivors include son, Michael Evan Stivers and his mother Anita Evans of Graham; mother, Wilma Stivers of Graham; brother, David Allen Stivers of Katy, Texas; sister, Deborah Stivers of Washingtonville, New York; a niece and a nephew.

Mr. Stivers was preceded in death by his father, Jack Stivers on December 29, 2002.

The Family will receive friends at a visitation on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
