Survived By: her husband, Tim Watson of Abilene; three sons, Shon Watson, Shane Watson, both of Abilene, and Shay Watson of San Angelo, Texas; two daughters, Shanon Watson of Los Angeles, California, and Shona Watson of Abilene; and a sister, Carol Lee of Irving, Texas.
Rudene was born August 31, 1951 to Marieta (Deeds) and Jack Dunn in Abilene, Texas. She graduated from Abilene Christian University in 1974 with a degree as a social worker. She married Tim Watson. Rudene worked as a social worker for Abilene State School for five years. For twelve years, she worked as an office clerk for a dentist, Dr. Jane Tindol. Rudene was a member of the University Church of Christ, working with the Children's Ministry for thirty-five years. She liked to cook and enjoyed traveling.
