I went to college in Canyon Texas at West Texas State University. I married Steve Jones in 1972. We both graduated from WT then moved back to his hometown of Seminole, Texas. We had our first daughter, Stephanie then moved to Hereford Texas, where we had our second daughter, Caralee. I started teaching and coaching in 1978 and taught for 4 years in Hereford. Steve and I divorced in 1982 and I moved to Amarillo.

In Amarillo I got into the Advertising business, first at a city magazine, Accent West, then into TV. I have been at the CBS affiliate, KFDA, in Amarillo for almost 20 years.

I remaried in 1986 to a railroader. He had 2 sons and now we have 9 grandchildren together.

We have had a great life and live outside Amarillo at a gated community, Lake Tanglewood. Tommy retired from BNSF and now works for his son, selling Industrial Steam Cleaning Machines.

School Story:

I moved to Abilene four days before our senior year started. It was a really hard year for me but several people at Cooper made it easier for me. I worked as a lifeguard at the Petroleum Club every summer when I would come back from college. My parents moved to Amarillo in 1978 so I don't get back to Abilene ever unless I am there for a convention or something.

Hi Gwyn. I miss you. I don’t go to this site very often but when I did today I saw your post. Even though it was from this summer. Tommy snd I live outside if Amarillo at Lake Tanglewood. Both of his boys live in Amarillo as does my daughter Caralee. Stephanie lives in Lexington Texas. We have 9 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. We keep the youngest one on Tuesdays and Thursdays which keeps us hopping. Your picture looked great! You haven’t changed a bit. Love you sweet friend! Call me sometime. My number is 806-670-5918
